Urban Strategies Inc.
During my time at Urban Strategies, I had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, contributing to hundreds of documents, including proposals, annual reports, master plans, briefs, brochures, and more. Each day, I primarily used InDesign to create documents. Additionally, I utilized Illustrator to create complementary illustrations that integrated seamlessly with the content, and Photoshop to edit and enhance various images.
Golden Horseshoe Transportation Plan
This transportation plan was designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring that all text, images, and graphics met AODA standards. After the document was completed, the exported PDFs were also remediated to be fully accessible in order to pass the PAC test. The layout, iconography, illustrations, and infographics were designed by me. This project is one of my proudest achievements.
Sheridan | Centre for Community Innovation and Interprofessional Practice
This project involved designing a brochure for Sheridan College to connect with potential donors and investors regarding the expansion of an important facility. I focused on creating a clean design that featured high-quality photo renderings of the new building, along with infographics to present relevant data. Sheridan requested that the material be both informative and visually appealing, showcasing the college's dedication to excellence and its engagement with the community.
Transit Oriented Affortable Housing
Catching the public's attention was a main focus of this challenge brief. A friendly scheme of pink and purple, along with the use of white space, made the document less intimidating. Clear section divisions helped make the technical information more digestible for readers, inviting them to engage in the transformation of their community.
EELRT
A massive project consisting of over 200 pages required thoughtful consideration in creating a layout that highlighted the information. It was essential to separate the content into sections and use icons to ensure a good flow throughout the document.
